Facilities Condition Assessment
Scope of Work
StudioJAED, in partnership with CDA&I Architecture and Interiors, conducted Facility Condition Assessments for 150 buildings in Philadelphia. The assessment includes all prison facilities, police stations, fire stations, health care facilities, and the interior of the prestigious City Hall building.
The project, funded through the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority (PICA), assisted the City of Philadelphia with a tool to manage and project capital needs. In addition to the basic scope of work, the project also included on-site identification of specific maintenance assets and development of a preventive maintenance database to be utilized by the City’s Public Properties Division.
StudioJAED will drew from its significant experience assigning maintenance tasks and associated schedules for each type of asset. The Project Team presented findings from the study in a comprehensive, organized format that allows the City to selectively prioritize and allocate funding for future projects. Information is stored in CT2000®, a Microsoft Access software application developed by StudioJAED for facility condition assessments. In addition to providing accurate data to assist with planning and capital improvements, StudioJAED was responsible for performing quality assurance procedures to insure that all reports were precise, reliable, and useful to the client.
