Scope of Work
StudioJAED is the Managing Architect for a comprehensive multi-year Capital Improvement Program for the City of Providence, Rhode Island/Providence School Department. Renovations and new construction will address the current and future needs of the City's 36 public school properties which serve approximately 23,500 students in grades K-12. StudioJAED conducted the original facilities assessment of all of the City's schools where a total of $600 million in needs was identified.
StudioJAED has been involved in over 30 various design projects ranging from security camera systems, boiler conversions, and fire marshal issues all the way to the conversion of an historic bathhouse to an elementary school library and community center and the 284,000 sq. ft. Providence Career & Technical Academy.
In addition, StudioJAED was also responsible for the development of standards for material, equipment, energy, and building systems which will be applied to all renovations and new construction.
