DNREC Lewes Field Facility Additions & Improvements
The Division of Soil & Water Conservation's Lewes Field Facility serves as the flagship operation for local state agencies that house seasonal DNREC employees. StudioJAED developed the design for the facility based on DNREC employee needs. GREEN environmental technology was integrated into the design due to the proximity of the site to wetlands and the Delaware Bay
The complex’s main office building includes a conference room and bathroom/shower facilities for employees from the shoreline crew. In addition, StudioJAED designed a shop and storage garage to support ongoing shoreline preservation activities and equipment maintenance.
“The entire StudioJAED Team took the time to engage our operations staff and management team in discussions about our design concepts, daily operations and future growth. The result was a schematic phase submission that exceeded our expectations and allowed us to proceed immediately into the design development phase,” said Dan Brower, DNREC Division of Soil and Water Conservation Program Manager.
