Delaware Department of Environmental Resources and Environmental Control
- Project: Delaware Department of Environmental Resources and Environmental Control
- Square Footage: 5,600 square feet
- Scope of Work: The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Lewes Field Office will serve as the flagship operation for local state agencies and will house seasonal DNREC employees. StudioJAED drafted plans for the facility based on DNREC employee needs and integrated green technology, due to the proximity of the site to wetlands and the Delaware Bay.
- The complex's main office building includes a conference room and bathroom/shower facilities for employees from the shoreline crew. In addition, StudioJAED designed a shop and storage garage to support ongoing shoreline preservation and equipment maintenance.
- "The entire StudioJAED Team took the time to engage our operations staff and management team in discussions about our design concepts, daily operations and future growth. The result was a schematic phase submission that exceeded our expectations and allowed us to proceed immediately into the design development phase," said Dan Brower, DNREC Division of Soil and Water Conservation Program Manager.
